I think the main reason I hate flash is no favicon.  when you consider how tabbed browsing is the most efficient way to multi-task online your favicon becomes your logo.  With flash all you get is the white piece of paper.  From a branding perspective it really isn't great.  The second aspect to flash is it requires you to learn a different type of navigation.  This means when a user comes to your site instead of learning about your products, they have to learn how to navigate the site.  When people fail at something they leave.   Even worse is flash takes a long time to load and is generally only cool once.  People online have no attention span.  There is always something better to do.   Why does facebook and google succeed?  They said to hell with pretty, lets focus on clean and functional.  BTW WTF are the eddies?  Poorly explained. 

The good news is you can blame the beer which according to manlaw is an accepted excuse for almost anything.  I use to be normal until I drank one too many big rock beers, hit on a pretty girl, she smiled, blew me a kiss fucking with my brain as she walked away letting me see what I would never have.   Lucky for me I drank some more beer until every other girl looked good and still went home alone.

Seriously how is it possible to take something as fun as a casino and make it seem boring?  When I see your ads I want to run into a frickon wall.  You want people to come to your casino show them the clint eastwood make my day game.  No more boring ads.  Go to poptent.net and use them instead of who you are currently paying too much money to use. 

Having taken a stats course I am not a fan of anything that requires more steps to do because it decreases success x 50% for each additional choice given.  Confused?  The more steps requires for some given action the less likely someone will achieve that action.  Still confused?  The picture shows the new video response layout youtube has.  In the big white space where I wrote my text, use to be a single click record response.  Meaning I could just click and talk.  Meaning it took one single left click of a mouse to create a video.  Meaning I wouldn't have to go through the hassle of video editing.  Well ladies and gentlemen those easy days are over.  Now you get to spend hours upon hours video editing.

I guess it makes sense from their standpoint.  Video cost money and the quality of the video response just in terms of footage quality tends to be pretty poor.  Hard to monetize those videos, well except for my videos.. but you get the drift.  From a personal standpoint it makes things harder for me cause now I have to put some effort into making videos.. something I hate.. from youtube's standpoint it makes good sense. 

Personally I think a simple ad system that allows people to link only to their wikipage would solve their problem.  It certainly would be less annoying that the "here a personal plea" which links to some page where you can give money.  I am tired of giving money to people who seem very well off.  Why not create an ad network and simply pay for the costs of wikipedia with all extra profit going to the preservation of knowledge with freedom of speech something that is being taken from people. 

stupid people and the businesses which hire them.  I am sorry but nobody who made the top 10 of transat's contest for the #vacationer knows a thing about social.  no I don't use proper grammar cause I am hoping to snare some fish.  everything online is driven by the comments.  Meaning that the number of comments a video, image, blog, etc... and the time between them is indicative of quality.. or at least that is what I have derived from my personal experience.  nobody gets that it doesn't take a degree to understand the web.  It takes being able to observe and adjust.. everything online changes like the wind and you have to be able to tap into those keywords.. meaning find social and geographic shared characteristics to what is being consumed online.  Not that anyone will ever believe a guy who does not have a degree and is a little eccentric.  Instead they will hire the same robotic PPC and spam idiots that learned marketing from a prefacebook professor.. cause facebook changed all the rules.  ijustine, sxephil and the people of the station started a whole new industry.   video is the most consumed and influential media in the world..

I have spent a small cars worth of money on apple products over the past few years.  Recently I noticed that a few programs are no longer supporting Tiger OS 10.4.11 and so I wanted to upgrade.  The problem is I have no clue how to go about doing that upgrade and trying to google how is painful because every tom, dick and harry seems to have an opinion and I have no idea who to trust.  I also want to add some more memory to my tower.  I don't want to go down the external route again because the USB ports on my mac are temperamental to say the least.  Half the time they don't even reconize the external drives when I plug them in.  I do a lot of video on youtube and having more memory would sure be nice. 

So not knowing what to do I tried to go to the apple store online.  I don't really want to get into a car and drive to an actual apple store because it is COLD outside.  Why should I make the effort when it is apple who supposedly wants the sale?  Supposedly is the keyword cause when I went through the hassle of finding a contact us form and asking apple what the proper way to upgrade and add more memory I got....  nothing.. they could care less.. just another big company.. crap client service and sadly a reason to go back to microsoft.  All I wanted was for the $500 I was going to spend to be worth a fucken email..

I know in the big picture this won't matter much.  Apple is too big, too successful to care about one person.. another fucken corporation..

I want to know does anyone actually go to the part when a website doesn't work?  Is there something unique about a website crashing that makes you say to those around you lets go to the park?  First twitter does the whole fail whale.. then digg with the really bad drawing of some house on the prairies scene and now a park.  Has anyone ever thought of running an ad below the fails saying check out this news article, sports article, twitter page, facebook fanpage, latest youtube video.  At the very least they could have the latest crack horror picture on TMZ..

Why do you hate me River Creek?  Why do you technology handicap people ruin my web with your idiotic ads which do more harm than good?  Do you think showing a person the same ad over and over again is going to make them like you more?  The reason I ask is with modern internet technology basically allowing you to know everything about me why would you keep showing me something I have seen?  I have heard of reruns for good TV shows but for ads?   Frankly you have to wonder the logic of internet ads on global cause do people with a disposable income really watch TV online when they can afford to watch it in high def on a big screen TV.  I know my words must seem harsh.  I am really working on being a nicer guy but you have to understand I grew up a pirate on the open sea and now I am forced to watch TV shows in low def on my mac and after seeing the same ad with the same average looking cougar my mind is slipping into madness.  Please get a clue.. cause it is in your benefit.  If that is the best you got in terms of marketing you all need to stick your collective head in a blender cause you all give advertisement a bad name.

Based on the number of bugs youtube has and the fact they still have not been able to unlock my hissingdogs account I have to believe people who work at youtube are monkeys.  The highly trained aspect of monkeyism is what I question considering they can't seem to make their site work without screwing up.  First I did one of my pure gold random videos and it never loaded.  I redid the video and now this is the message I see.  Chad Hurley when you are finished with your clothing line how about you fix youtube.. if you don't know what to fix hire me cause everyday it seems like I run into bug after bug after bug.  It is enough to drive a man insane.. if I ever get in trouble with the law I am going to use the youtube defense.
